Why Lehigh?: “I chose Lehigh because it gave me the opportunity to play Division I baseball and receive a first-class education at the same time.”
As a junior, started in 45 games… led the team in runs batted in (43), home runs (7) and put outs (315)…among the top five in runs batted in on the Patriot League…member of the Patriot League second team…As a sophomore, the team’s primary first baseman the past two seasons … showcased his excellent defensive abilities, recording a stellar .987 fielding percentage in 2003 … batted .325, 3rd highest average on the squad, with an on-base percentage of .388 in 2003 … as a freshman, started 23 games at first base, while tallying 21 hits and seven RBI’s … 2003 summer league, member of Reston Hawks of the Clark Griffith League … a tight end on the Patriot League champion Lehigh football team two seasons ago year in addition to playing baseball … in high school, earned All-District and All-Region honors on the diamond … hit .400 in three years of Varsity action … as a senior, was named the US Army Reserve National Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
