Lehigh falls to Rutgers 5-2

Bethlehem, PA - The Mountain Hawks returned to the courts on Friday afternoon for the first time in 2004, as they welcomed Rutgers into the Lewis Tennis Center. Rutgers was a rude guest though, as they defeated Lehigh by a score of 5-2.
Co-captains Kristen Nowicki and Rachel Samson took the lone points for the team in singles, with Nowicki winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 over Andrea Weckstein and Samson beating Alina Balasa 7-6 (6-2), 6-3. Rutgers swept the rest of the matches, including the top flight doubles as Nowicki and Samson lost to Weckstein and Ketevan Shmakova 8-2.
The team will return to the courts on Feb. 15 as Howard comes to visit, with the match set to begin at 1:00.
