Lehigh prepares for Columbia

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh (6-2, 0-2 Patriot League) will be in search of its seventh win of the season when Columbia (4-4, 0-3) visits the Ulrich Sports Complex. The Mountain Hawks will also be looking to improve upon their perfect 6-0 mark against non-league competition.
      Sophomore Kellan Van Hoesen and junior Emily Studdiford lead the Lehigh offense. Van Hoesen has team highs with 15 goals and 21 points and is coming off a four goal - two assist performance against Monmouth. Studdiford is second on the team with 20 points, and has a Lehigh-best seven assists.
      Sophomore midfielder Barrie Cominsky is among the team leaders in nearly every statistical category. Cominsky leads the squad with 36 ground balls, is second with 21 caused turnovers, tied for second in draw controls with 13, and is third on the team in scoring with 15 points.
      Freshman goalkeeper Kyle Begina has played every second in goal for the Mountain Hawks this season, with very good results. Begina has 7.04 GAA and a save percentage of .587.
      The Lions enter the game on a three game winning streak, with wins over Bucknell, Wagner and Manhattan. Adie Moll leads the team with 18 goals and 19 points. Seven Columbia players have between 19 and 24 ground balls. Marcela Calidonio is allowing 11.00 goals against, while turning away .460 of all opponents’ shots.
