Carolyne Heston served two seasons as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations from 2016-18. In her role, Heston assisted the Director of Recruiting, as well as coordinating the team’s travel arrangements. She graduated from Lehigh with a master's in educational leadership in May 2018.
Heston came to Lehigh after serving as an assistant coach (2014-15), and then interim head coach (2015-16) at Penn State Abington. As interim head coach, she oversaw all aspects of the Nittany Lions’ Division III women’s basketball program, including running practices, workouts, scouting, recruiting and overseeing the academic success of players. Under her guidance, the team compiled a 17-8 record and made an appearance in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Tournament.
As a student-athlete, Heston was a four-year member of the basketball team at Holy Family University from 2010-2014. A three-time selection to the CACC All-Academic Team, Heston served as a team captain for the 2013-14 season as well as SAAC vice president. Starting in all 28 games as a senior, Heston was second on the team averaging 10.6 points per game and led the squad with 9.4 rebounds per game. For her career, she averaged 5.1 ppg and 4.2 rpg, helping the team to two conference championships and three appearances in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
Heston graduated magna cum laude from Holy Family in 2014 with a degree in biology.
