BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Top-seeded Lehigh women's basketball captured its fifth Patriot League Championship in program history and its first title since 2021 with a 74-62 victory over No. 2 Army on Sunday afternoon at Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks will play in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as they await the Selection Show, airing at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN to find out who they will play and when.
"This was the vision," said head coach Addie Micir. "And I'm going to shout out Sue (Troyan) and everything she did. I said it in my press conference, 'The foundation was set, so we've got to keep building.' This is what we had all in mind. To have this senior class get to do it on their home court is so special."

When asked about when they knew this was a championship team, Micir said she knew in the summer.
"One particular workout, a local high school coach came to watch, and we were clicking and firing, and we looked like a mature group," Micir said. "He said to our staff after, 'Do you know how good you all are?' and we looked at him and said, 'We sure do. We prove it every day, and our team came to work every day.'"
