2022-23 (JUNIOR SEASON):Â Had an impressive season for Lehigh as a junior.. at the Patriot League Championships, came in 15th in the 50-yard freestyle finals and 21st in both the 100-yard freestyle prelims (45.82) and the 100-yard breaststroke finals (57.42)...against Lafayette, came in second in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.19) and third in the 100-yard freestyle (46.47)...had a pair of third place marks in the 50-yard freestyle (21.56) and the 50-yard breaststroke (26.31) vs. Drexel...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2021-22 (SOPHOMORE SEASON): Took home a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay (1:33.94) at Loyola with a 50 free split of 20.94. Also finished third in the 200 free relay (1:26.67) with another 50 free split of 20.45...finished second in the 50 free (21.62) vs. West Chester, and helped the 200 medley relay (1:33.69) get a victory with a 50 free split of 20.94 as the anchor. Picked up first place in the 400 free relay (3:06.12) against the Rams with a leg of 46.71...Scored well individually vs. Rider after finishing second in the 50 free (21.70) and third in the 100 free (47.04). A split of 20.92 as the anchor claimed a win for the Mountain Hawks in the 200 medley relay (1:33.38)...helped the 400 free relay (3:03.85) team pick up a crucial win over Lafayette with a leg time of 46.19...came in third place in the 50 breast (26.85) at Drexel...helped the 400 free relay (3:07.15) narrowly finish second at Bucknell...got a personal best in the 500 free (4:51.43) during the ESU Invite...participated in three individual events during the Patriot League Championships, including two relays. 200 free relay (1:22.12) finished fifth, swimming a 20.46 as the anchor. Led off the 400 free relay (3:02.58), clocking in at sixth for the event...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21 (FIRST-YEAR SEASON): Registered two third-place finishes in the 100 breast (59.00) and the 200 breast (2:10.43) against Lafayette in the Patriot League Challenge… Placed ninth overall in the 100 breast at the April Pools Invitational (1:01.34)… Finished fifth overall in the 100 breast (1:02.12) and placed sixth in both the 50 free (22.26) and the 100 free (48.55) against Bucknell.
BEFORE LEHIGH
McCurley will look to help the sprint events for the Mountain Hawks, as the incoming freshman looks to master the 50 free. Some of the accolades that McCurley brings to the Mountain Hawks include being a Third Team All-State in water polo, Berks County Aquatic Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete of the Year, five-time record breaker in his high school and a four-time state qualifier. McCurley is a member of the National Honor Society and an AP Scholar with Distinction Award.
