Zay Jennings enters his second season on staff as Director of Basketball Operations in 2023-24. A native of Allentown and graduate of Allentown Central Catholic, Jennings scored 1426 points at Central Catholic and graduated as the school’s all time 3 point shooter. He also has deep roots with Lehigh Basketball, serving as a ball boy when he was a youngster and camp counselor during his college days.

Jennings was a member of the Le Moyne Dolphins which recently made the transition from Division II to Division I. Over his last two seasons, he played in 52 total games, making six starts- averaging 4.4 points per game as a junior and 6.8 point per game as a senior. In his senior year he shot 42.6 percent (26-of-61) from 3-point range and 88 percent from the foul line. Le Moyne enjoyed success in his time in Syracuse which included a 19-9 record (15-4 in conference) during Jennings’ senior season in 2019-20 and 18-8 (14-6 in conference) in 2018-19, earning back to back division regular season titles along with NCAA Championship tournament bids. In the classroom, Jennings was named to the Northeast 10 Student Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2020 (for a GPA of 3.5 or higher). He was also named to the Dean’s List.

Prior to Le Moyne, Jennings was a starter at Caldwell University (NJ) averaging 10.5 and 12.0 points over his first two seasons. Jennings was a CACC Rookie of the Week recipient and compiled 655 points in his 2 years at Caldwell. And prior to the Pandemic halting the NCAA tournament he was at 950 career points.

Jennings also has previous coaching experience as Graduate Assistant in 2021-22 at Wheeling University (WVa) under Chris Richardson. He also served as camp counselor from 2016-2019 at the Lehigh Boys Basketball Camp. He has similar experience with Allentown Central Catholic HS
boys camps, Lehigh Carbon Community College Basketball program, Go Pro Skills Camps and McHoops.

Jennings' father Ed, is also a former HS and college assistant coach who founded the very popular fall basketball league, known as the SCBL or Select Competition Basketball League. His mother Shyla is a graduate of Villanova University.
