BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Murray H. Goodman '48 head men's basketball coach Brett Reed has announced the signing of three additional student-athletes to his incoming recruiting class ahead of the 2026-27 season. Nate Djanogly, Chris Tshibola, and Colton Watson are set to join the Mountain Hawks this upcoming season.Â
Djanogly is a 6'9 forward from London, England by way of Northfield Mount Hermon in Massachusetts, the same high school as his future teammate Andrew Urosevic. Djanogly was team captain at NMH and has competed internationally for Great Britain on the U16 and U18 national teams. Academically, Djanogly was on the Head of School's list, earned the Moody Award, earned high honors three times, earned commendable preparation and engagement two times and graduated summa cum laude and magna cum laude.
"We're pleased to have Nate join our basketball program," said Reed. "He comes from the same prep school as Andrew Urosevic and is a skilled and cerebral player with size. We anticipate that he's going to provide support for our team in practice and bolster our depth. He's an excellent student that should fit in very well with our university community and basketball program."
Tshibola becomes the third Canadian on Lehigh's roster along with Urosevic and Edouard Benoit. Tshibola is a transfer from Laval University in Quebec where he starred in his first season of collegiate basketball. The 6'3 guard posted averages of 20.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 46.2% from the field and 82.6% from the free throw line. Tshibola earned Usports First Team All-Canadian honors, Usports Rookie of the Year, RSEQ Conference MVP and RSEQ Conference Rookie of the Year.
"Chris joins our program with established collegiate experience and more maturity than your typical incoming high school graduate," said Reed. "He was a high-level performer at the collegiate level in his country, earning both rookie of the year as well as player of the year honors. I believe that those accolades are an indication of the type of talent that he brings into our program. He's a guard with good positional size, shooting ability, can finish at the rim, and makes his teammates better around him with the ball in his hands. We look forward to his contributions this year and beyond. Chris has also demonstrated strong academic aptitude in both his scholastic and collegiate experiences thus far. I believe he will really embrace the entire holistic experience that Lehigh University can provide for him."
Watson is a 6'7 guard from Phoenix, Arizona and Sandra Day O'Connor High School. Watson was a four-time All-Region honoree, three-time All-State honoree and was District Male Athlete of the Year. Watson also played for the AZ Select basketball program. In the classroom, Watson made the All-State Academic Team four times, held a 4.0 GPA, and was student of the month five times. In addition, Watson was also a member of student government and a strong contributor in the SPED program at his high school. Watson's father, Marlon, played basketball collegiately at Vanguard University.
"Colton is a terrific addition to our program," said Reed. "He brings size, athleticism, and skill to our offensive and defensive attack. Colton has the opportunity to impact the game in different ways than some of his teammates because of his athleticism and ability to score in so many ways on the basketball court. He's demonstrated leadership as well as very high academic performance through his high school career. We're pleased to bring such a strong student and person who will bolster our campus community with his personality and approach."
Djanogly, Tshibola, and Watson will join Carter Cohen and Ralfs Rudusans to complete the incoming recruiting class in the fall.
