Tshibola becomes the third Canadian on Lehigh’s roster along with Urosevic and Edouard Benoit. Tshibola is a transfer from Laval University in Quebec where he starred in his first season of collegiate basketball. The 6’3 guard posted averages of 20.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists on 46.2% from the field and 82.6% from the free throw line. Tshibola earned Usports First Team All-Canadian honors, Usports Rookie of the Year, RSEQ Conference MVP and RSEQ Conference Rookie of the Year.
COACH REED ON TSHIBOLA
“Chris joins our program with established collegiate experience and more maturity than your typical incoming high school graduate,” said Reed. “He was a high-level performer at the collegiate level in his country, earning both rookie of the year as well as player of the year honors. I believe that those accolades are an indication of the type of talent that he brings into our program. He’s a guard with good positional size, shooting ability, can finish at the rim, and makes his teammates better around him with the ball in his hands. We look forward to his contributions this year and beyond. Chris has also demonstrated strong academic aptitude in both his scholastic and collegiate experiences thus far. I believe he will really embrace the entire holistic experience that Lehigh University can provide for him.”
