BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior forward/center Hank Alvey has been named to USA Basketball's roster for the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League. Alvey will compete for Team USA in Ñuñoa, Chile from June 27 to July 3.
Alvey's selection to the Team USA roster comes off the heels of his participation in USA Basketball's 3x3 development camp in Arizona back in April. The FIBA 3x3 Nations League is a premier global development platform for under-23 (U23) basketball players. The 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference North will feature six three-game tournaments over seven days. The competition will run in a 'stops' format, with multiple stops held over the course of the weeklong event. Teams will accumulate points based on their performance in each stop. Team members can substitute as needed for each day's four-person entry.
Alvey improved greatly upon a solid first-year season, averaging 15.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, a league-best 1.8 blocks, and 1.0 steals per game in as a sophomore 2025-26. The Mapleton, Illinois native reached double-figures 23 times, scored 20+ points 13 times, and posted four double-doubles. The big man scored 23 points with a career-high 15 rebounds in Lehigh's NCAA Tournament loss to Prairie View A&M. Alvey was named to the second team All-Patriot League, Patriot League All-Tournament Team, Patriot League All-Academic team, and received Patriot League Player of the Week honorable mention twice this season.
The 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League will stream live on YouTube.com/FIBA3x3.
