BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior forward Edouard Benoit has been named to Canada Basketball's roster for the 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League. Benoit will compete for Canada in Ñuñoa, Chile from June 27 to July 3.
Before competing for his national team, Benoit has played for Grand Montreal 3x3 this summer where he has competed in tournaments around the world. Benoit could match up against Lehigh teammate Hank Alvey, who will be playing for Team USA's 3x3 Nations League squad.
The 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas Conference North will feature six three-game tournaments over seven days. The competition will run in a 'stops' format, with multiple stops held over the course of the weeklong event. Teams will accumulate points based on their performance in each stop. Team members can substitute as needed for each day's four-person entry.
Benoit helped lead the Mountain Hawks to their fourth overall Patriot League championship this past season, averaging 10.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game on 39.6% from the field and 31.3% from three. The Quebec native had a stretch of three-consecutive games scoring 20+ points in January, including a career-high 27 at Colgate on January 10. Benoit earned Patriot League Player of the Week honorable mention on January 12. In addition, Benoit scored 15 points with seven rebounds in Lehigh's championship game victory over Boston U.
The 2026 FIBA 3x3 Nations League will stream live on YouTube.com/FIBA3x3.
