Why Lehigh? “It has a great reputation for academics and an excellent softball program.”

On Coach Troyan: “Coach Troyan is a very friendly man, who is always trying to help you with whatever you need (softball or not). He has a sense of humor and knows a lot about the game.”

On the Lehigh softball experience: “Lehigh softball is a program that probably has the closest group of girls that a program can have, as well as a ton of talent when on the field. Everyone on the team cares for and treats each other like their own family. The team is a hardworking and competitive group who like to have fun at the same time, and making themselves a better person in the end.”

As a sophomore: Appeared in 43 games, primarily as a pinch runner... scored 16 runs... went 4-for-12 at the plate with four RBI... had two-RBI single vs. Bucknell (4/7)... can play first base or corner outfield spots.

As a freshman: Appeared in 36 games... made 11 starts split between designated player, left field, right field and first base... went 1-for-7 in Patriot League games with six runs scored.

In high school: MVP senior and sophomore year… set school records for batting average (.567) and career hits… received awards in Alegebra II, Geometry, and Function Stats and Trigonometry.

Personal: Daughter of Randy and Karen Taft… brother Brett (23)… enjoys surfing, snowboarding/skiing, and soccer.
