BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Kelly Fricker has been named a second team Freshman All-American, D1Softball announced Thursday. The accolade caps an outstanding first year in the Brown and White for Fricker that featured a litany of major accomplishments.
Â
The Freshman All-America honor comes after Fricker was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, first team All-Patriot League and second team NFCA All-East Region.
Â
Fricker started all 52 games for the Mountain Hawks in 2025, primarily in right field. She hit .439 with 79 hits, 17 doubles, 27 RBIs and 41 runs scored. The 79 hits tied Lehigh's single-season record and rank 18th in the nation. Fricker's .439 batting average tops the Patriot League and ranks 20th nationally. Her 17 doubles are tied for the league lead.
Â
In addition to her league and regional accolades, Fricker was named to the NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 List in April. A two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week, Fricker was named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team after recording three hits including an RBI double in Lehigh's two games.
Â
Fricker had 28 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-4 game against Bucknell in early April and drove in five runs in an April 13 win at Colgate.
Â
On campus, Fricker received the John S. Steckbeck Award as Lehigh's top first-year female student-athlete.
Â
D1Softball's All-Americans, Freshman All-Americans, and superlative awards are voted on by the D1Softball staff of writers, digital media creators, and industry experts.
