WHY LEHIGH?
Lehigh provided an outstanding academic environment, especially in the engineering field. Also, I was fortunate enough to play Division I baseball.

Coach Leary is an influential individual who insures his student-athletes will succeed not only in baseball, but in life.  

2018 (SENIOR SEASON)
Played in a career-high 45 games, including 43 starts, primarily in right field…ranked third on the team in runs (22) and fourth in RBI (17) on the year, as well as ranking third in runs (8) and RBI (9) in Patriot League play…scored a career-high five runs with a career-high four RBI in a 1-for-2 performance at Saint Peter’s (5/2)…hit a game-winning, three-run home run on his final swing of his career to lift Lehigh to an 8-5 victory over Holy Cross (5/6) in the last game of the season…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

2017 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Saw action in 25 games, including nine starts while splitting his time between outfield and catcher…hit his first-career home run in a pinch-hit at bat in 13-4 win over La Salle (4/11).
 
2016 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Saw action in 30 games and made 18 starts, finishing the season with eight RBI and 18 runs scored…tallied three hits, three runs scored and an RBI in the Patriot League Semifinal series at Holy Cross…knocked in two RBI against Immaculata (5/7) and NYIT (4/27)…tallied three-hit games against Rider (4/12) and Coppin State (4/6).

2015 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Saw action in 10 games, including three starts behind the plate…recorded his first collegiate hit against Columbia…scored a run in Lehigh’s 2-0, 11-inning no-hitter victory over Iona.

BEFORE LEHIGH
A local product from Whitehall, Ryan Bonshak was a three sport athlete at Whitehall High School. Bonshak was a two-time captain for both the baseball and football teams and was twice named the Lehigh Valley Conference’s honorable mention catcher. Bonshak batted .400 during his senior year on the diamond and was named a first team All-State defensive back on the gridiron. He was awarded the LVIAC Scholar Athlete honor for football and also garnered the LVIAC Sportsmanship and Character Award.
