2017 (SENIOR SEASON)
Earned second team All-Patriot League selection as a first baseman … name to the Academic All-Patriot League team for second time in his career … appeared in 47 games, making 45 starts … he completed his second-straight season with .300+ batting average as he hit .303 on the season to finish fourth on the team … ended the season ranked second on the team in runs batted in (34) and total bases (82) … his 50 total hits ranked third on the team, while also ranking third in doubles (11) and home runs (7) … led Lehigh in most offensive categories against league competition … finished tied for fifth in league play with a .368 batting average while he led the league in RBI (23) in league play … ranked third in doubles (7) and home runs (4) to finish third in total bases (44) against Patriot League opponents … posted a .985 fielding percentage as he split duties between first and second base … racked up 209 putouts and 55 assists with just four errors … finished career with .991 cumulative fielding percentage … named Patriot League Player of the Week (5/2) as he hit a team-leading .476 and slugged a team-high 1.000 with a .500 on-base percentage in the final week of home games (six games) of the season … named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2016 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Finished his junior campaign with a strong .325 batting average, including a .355 mark in Patriot League play that ranked fifth-best in the league…tallied 18 multiple hit games and finished the season with a team-best 17 doubles, 22 RBI and 34 runs scored…went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in Lehigh’s game two Patriot League Semifinal win at Holy Cross (5/14)…went 3-for-3 in game two at Army (4/30) to help Lehigh lock up the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Tournament…also made an appearance out of the bullpen, throwing a scoreless frame with two strikeouts against Immaculata (5/7)…earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League team.
2015 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Saw action in 33 games and made nine appearances on the mound…went 3-for-4 in an 11-1 win at Iona…hit 3-for-6 with two RBI in a 17-5 win at Coppin State and picked up the win on the mound after tossing 4.2 one-run innings…earned the win on the mound in Lehigh’s 5-2 victory over Army after throwing 1.2 hitless frames…picked up a save against Saint Peter’s...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2014 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Saw action at the plate and on the mound during his freshman campaign…made 10 appearances on the mound and threw a total of 20.2 innings to accumulate an ERA of 5.23...struck out a career-high five batters against Saint Bonaventure…had 19 at-bats and record four RBI and four runs scored...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH
A four year letterwinner, Young was named first team All-Conference and All-County in his junior and senior seasons. In 2013 he earned second team All-South Jersey. Young was a member of the Carpenter Cup team in 2012 and 2013. Off the field, Young was a member of the National Honor Society and World Language Honor Society.
