- Title:
- Graduate Assistant Coach
2026 marks Justin Butler's first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Lehigh baseball program.
Butler concluded his career as one of the most decorated power hitters in Lehigh baseball history. He finished second all-time in career home runs (29) while compiling 118 hits and 108 RBIs across four seasons.
As a senior in 2025, Butler earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors after starting 34 games and driving in 31 runs. He produced a career-best performance against Coppin State with seven RBIs, six runs scored, a triple and a home run, and matched that seven-RBI mark later in the season against Holy Cross. He also ranked among team leaders in doubles and home runs while earning Patriot League Honor Roll recognition.
In 2024, Butler emerged as one of the Patriot League’s most dangerous hitters, leading the Mountain Hawks with 46 RBIs and 11 home runs. He delivered several standout performances, including two separate two-homer, four-RBI games against nationally ranked Iowa and Mount St. Mary’s. He also posted a .985 fielding percentage at first base, tallying 308 putouts and helping turn 16 double plays.
Despite injuries shortening his first-year season in 2022, Butler hit .300 with seven home runs in just 22 games, including a two-homer, five-RBI outing against Saint Peter’s. He followed up with another strong campaign in 2023, batting .290 with seven more homers while splitting time between designated hitter and catcher.
A native of Pennsylvania, Butler graduated from Lehigh in 2025Â while cementing his place in program history as one of its top power hitters. He now transitions into the coaching staff, where he will assist in player development, recruiting, and practice operations while pursuing his graduate degree.
