2019 (SENIOR SEASON)
Missed year due to injury...made final start of career in right field for an inning on Senior Day vs. Army West Point.
2018 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Made 12 appearances out of the bullpen with a record of 1-1 and one save…earned his lone win of the season after tossing the final 1.2 innings of an extra-inning victory at Navy (4/14) with three strikeouts and no runs allowed…posted a season-high five strikeouts and earned the save in 3.0 innings of work against Monmouth (3/17)…played in 24 total games, including eight starts in right field.
2017 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Had a breakout season on the mound and proved to be one of the most reliable relievers on the team…ranked second on the team with 14 appearances and posted a 1-1 record out of the bullpen…finished second among all pitches on the team with a 2.22 ERA…earned his lone win of the season as he tossed 5.0 scoreless innings with a season-high five strikeouts and surrendered just two hits in a 13-4 victory over La Salle (4/11).
2016 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Made six appearances on the mound while batting in 11 contests…finished his rookie campaign with a .353 batting average (6-for-17), two RBI and three runs scored…went 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI while also picking up the win on the mound in a 9-8 extra-inning win over Rider (4/12)…threw a hitless top of the tenth inning to earn the win over the Broncs…struck out two batters against Manhattan (3/26).

BEFORE LEHIGH
A three-year first team All-Inter AC selection and 2015 Inter-AC MVP out of Malvern Prep, Butera helped lead the Friars to three consecutive Inter-AC conference championships and two-straight Pennsylvania Independent School State Championships. A two-way talent, Butera batted .350 with a .492 on-base percentage during his senior season while leading the Friars to a 31-7 record. He accumulated a 19-5 career record on the mound with a 1.52 ERA in 150.1 innings pitched. In addition to earning 2015 Inter-AC MVP honors, Butera was also named first team All-Main Line, first team All-Southeastern Pennsylvania and a Perfect Game preseason All-American. Strong off the field as well, Butera was an honor roll student at Malvern Prep, a leader of the Peer Education group, member of the Adelphia Student Mentoring Society, Stock Market Club and the Head Student Ambassador for Admissions and Campus Tours.
