What is HIIT? HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. The training principle involves giving an all out effort for a short time, followed by a brief rest period.on repeat! These coach-inspired group workouts combine cardio, strength training, and bodyweight exercises for a full body, metabolic conditioning workout. These classes will be held right on the fitness center floor, where you can try some new equipment, and perhaps learn some new ways to use familiar equipment.
Why do HIIT? Change up your workout routine by allowing our trainers to guide you through a different workout each session, and be ready to push your limits and find new ones. Make the most out of 45 minutes in the gym, and experience the metabolic benefits such as increased calorie burn during and after exercise as well as decreased body fat, heart rate, and blood pressure.
How Often Should You Do HIIT? Once a week at 45 minutes is perfect for this type of training, as it is not recommended to have your heart rate above 90% of its max for any more than 30-40 minutes per week. High Intensity Interval Training, paired with regular strength training, stretching, cardio, and of course, rest and recovery, is the perfect formula for a well-balanced fitness plan.
