WHY LEHIGH? “I chose Lehigh for its beautiful campus and its strong academics. I knew I would get a tailored college experience because of all the academic, social and extracurricular opportunities on campus.”

ON COACH CONLEY: “Coach Conley has a clear direction for the Lehigh Rowing Team and has the tools to make the program a top Patriot League team. I am enthusiastic about his coaching style and am excited to continue to improve as an athlete.”

AS A JUNIOR (2010-11): Member of the Varsity Eight that finished sixth at the Patriot League Championships (4/24) with a time of 7:19.90 … Part of the Varsity Eight crew that came in first over Lafayette in the River Cup (4/2) (6:28.60) … Stroke one for the Varsity Eight that won the Neuweiler Plate (4/2) … Placed first in the Varsity Eight in back-to-back days at the Braxton (11/14) and Frostbite (11/13) Regattas … Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll … Earned the HHMI Certificate of Excellence for presentation at NGRI symposium (2010) … Over the summer, was named team co-captain for the 2011-12 season.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009-10): Member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll … Earned a varsity letter … Earned the Clarence B. Campbell Scholarship.

BEFORE LEHIGH: Named to the National Honor Society … Finished ninth at 2008 Nationals in Lightweight 8+ … That same year, was winner of Midwest Regional Championship in the same event … Placed 12th at 2006 US Rowing Youth Nationals in the Varsity 8+ … All-State Orchestra performer.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Meghan Howie-Timmel and Keith Timmel … Has a brother (Byron) and sister (Zoe).
