Why Lehigh?  “Lehigh’s serene and amicable environment reduced a lot of my anxieties in transferring to a smaller school. I was in search of a balance within academics and athletics and Lehigh fit the part. I am looking forward to being able to participate in the school’s tradition of Lehigh University and having the opportunity to play for an enthusiastic coach and team.”

 

Player Profile:  As a junior …held a singles record of 7-6 …played on the singles 3rd, 4th and 5th flights …went 7-6 on first flight doubles … transferred from Rutgers in 2004 … as a sophomore … winner of the team’s Coaches Award … posted a record of 9-4 at fourth, fifth and sixth flight singles in her first season at Lehigh … saw action at first flight doubles and went 1-1, 1-0 in Patriot League play … went 8-6 at second flight doubles … as a freshman (at Rutgers) played number three doubles … in secondary school … ranked #30 in the New England USTA section … attained a USTA national ranking … played number one all four years of high school … won regional championships each year in singles … was picked to attend a program at the Colorado Olympic training center … was one of 20 students chosen nationally for national leadership training program called F.L.A.M.E. (finding leaders among minorities everywhere).

Personal:  Daughter of Sheila and George Foster … father played Major League Baseball … has one sister, Shawna (16).
