Why Lehigh?  “I think Lehigh is the perfect school for a scholar athlete.  Lehigh provides excellent academics and competitive Division I athletics on a beautiful campus.  Also, Coach Shook is great! He is enthusiastic and emphasizes sportsmanship. I think that Coach Shook will train us hard but also make tennis a lot of fun.”

 

Player Profile:  As a sophomore …first team All-Patriot League selection … winner of the teams Athlete of the Year Award … tied for the team lead with 7 doubles victories with an overall record of 7-6 as a second flight doubles player … went 4-5 in singles competition on the first flight… as a freshman … team’s Scholar Athlete Award winner with 3.78 grade point average … went 2-0 at first flight singles … went a combined 9-7, including a 3-2 mark in Patriot League play, at second, third and fourth flight singles … went 1-0 at first flight doubles … posted a 7-4 record at second flight doubles and 4-0 mark at third flight … in secondary school … undefeated in tennis … All-Catholic all four years … won League MVP as a sophomore, junior, and senior … competed in Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands with Tennis Europe … on Middle States Girls Fed Cup team … won the Betty W. Meade Sportsmanship Award … member of the French National Honor Society … member of Community Service Corps.

 

Personal:  Daughter of John and Maureen Dwyer…has one sister, Marissa (16) who plays ice hockey… her favorite tennis players are Jennifer Capriati and Justine Henin-Hardenne.
