TRACK AND FIELD PERSONAL RECORDS
2021 OUTDOORS: Registered a PR in the heptathlon and took home a bronze medal (4859 points) at the Patriot League Championships… Harding took first in the javelin (36.93m), second in the 200m (26.10m) and third in both the 100mH (14.88) and the shot put (10.57m)… Won the heptathlon at the Mount Invitational (4384 points)… Placed third in the high jump (1.55m), fourth in the javelin (37.60m) and fifth in the 100mH (14.94) at the John and Carol Covert Classic… Finished fifth overall in both the high jump (1.55m) and the javelin (31.01m) at the Lafayette Invitational.
2021 INDOORS: Placed second in the long jump (5.15m) and fourth in the high jump (5’2”) at the Lehigh Tri Meet… Was a member of the winning 4x400m relay team who took first at the Patriot League Indoor Challenge (4:15.18).
2020 INDOORS: Finished fourth place overall in the pentathlon, (3427) and finished eighth overall in the high jump (1.65m), earning two new personal records at the Patriot League Championship.

Bucknell Tune Up - high jump, third place finish (1.60m)... long jump, sixth place finish (5.31m)
Bison Open and Multi - pentathlon, third place finish (3240)... recorded top three finishes in the long jump (5.34m, first place), high jump (1.59m, third place), and 60m hurdles (9.70, third place)
2019 OUTDOORS: Competed in 4x100 relay at ECAC Championships… Finished third overall in the heptathlon at the Bison Outdoor Classic (4263)… Finished fifth overall in the javelin (30.91m, 101’ 5”), finished sixth overall in the 100m hurdles (15.90) and finished eighth overall in the high jump (1.50m, 4’ 11”) at the Lafayette Invitational… Finished eighth overall in the heptathlon at the Adidas Winthrop University Invitational (3890)… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2019 INDOORS: Finished 17th overall in the pentathlon, earning a personal record (2828)… Finished eighth overall in the 60m hurdles (9.67), finished 13th overall in the high jump (1.50m, 4’ 11”) and finished 13th overall in the shot put (9.55m, 31’ 4”) at the Angry Birds Challenge… Finished seventh overall in the shot put (9.29m, 30’ 5.75”) and finished 11th overall in the high jump (1.45m, 4’ 9”) at the Lehigh Season Opener.
2018 OUTDOORS: Earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors with a runner-up performance in the heptathlon at the PL Championships (4,474 points)…Also threw the javelin at the PL Championships (34.68m)...Placed second in the 100m hurdles (15.59m) at the Greyhound Invitational.
2018 INDOORS: Competed in the 60m hurdles (9.85) and the pentathlon (2,708 points) at the Patriot League Championships…Won the 60m hurdles (9.12) at the Lehigh-Lafayette Dual Meet.
BEFORE LEHIGH: A two-time league champion in the 100m hurdles at the Robert Spagna league meet…Two-time district champion in the 300 meter hurdles…Four-time state qualifier in four different events…Finished in ninth place in the high jump at states as a freshman…A member of a state qualifying 4x4 team as a sophomore…A fourth place medalist in the 100m hurdles and a seventh place medalist in the 300m hurdles as a junior…A fourth place medalist in the 100m hurdles as a senior…Honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society…Earned a “White Coat” after completing the Project Lead the Way Biomedical course.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Kelly Smith and Matthew Harding…Has three siblings, Tony, Jackson, and Sydney.
GETTING TO KNOW MADDY
Nickname: Maddawg
Why did you choose Lehigh?: When choosing a college, I knew I wanted a school that could challenge me both in the classroom and on the track. Many schools I was looking at offered those, but none had quite the atmosphere at Lehigh. The family atmosphere and prime location is what made my decision for me!
What’s your favorite thing about Lehigh?: That it isn’t Lafayette!!
Major & Why: Behavioral Neuroscience, because the brain is the most fascinating thing I can think of besides outer space, and I would love to learn all about what the force behind human behavior actually is.
Favorite Food: Mozzarella Sticks
Favorite Color: Violet purple
Favorite Musical Artist: Sam Hunt
Favorite Movie: Saving Private Ryan
Favorite TV Show: Grey’s Anatomy

Favorite place to study: Somewhere quiet, but not too quiet.

Most admired person and why: Alexander Hamilton because he started from nothing and was relentless in his pursuit of success. He never stopped until he was at the top!
Biggest sports accomplishment: Qualifying for the PA State Championship all four years for four different events, and finishing with two state medals.
