Bio
WHY LEHIGH?
I chose Lehigh because it is a very strong academic school and has a soccer team with lots of potential.
ON COACH KOSKI
Coach Koski is a coach who knows the game better than anyone else. He is a great mentor both on and off the field.
2018 (SENIOR SEASON)
Team co-captain who missed the first eight games of the season due to illness, but played the team's final 10 regular season games...Tallied an assist in a loss to Cornell (9/25), his first game since 2017...anchored the defense that helped Lehigh to four shutouts...Saw 90+ minutes of action seven times during the season...named Lehigh Men's Soccer's Scholar Athlete of the Year...named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2017 (JUNIOR SEASON)
Team co-captain who started all 19 games at his left back position…played 90 or more minutes in 15 games on the year…helped anchor a defensive unit that compiled five shutouts on the season…assisted on the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Army (9/23)…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
2016 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Started all 18 games on the backline…played 90+ minutes in 15 games…tallied four points, all in Patriot League play…finished the season with five shots…played a season-high 110 minutes against Penn (9/20).
2015 (FRESHMAN SEASON)
Saw action in 17 games while making 13 starts…assisted a goal in Lehigh’s 3-0 win over Fordham (9/29)…played 90-plus minutes in eight matches, including a season-best 110 minutes in double-overtime draws against Bucknell (10/31) and Saint Francis (9/20)…named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
BEFORE LEHIGH
Matt is a mature and confident defender. He makes good decisions with the ball and is very consistent. He has a great soccer IQ with ability to tackle and break up plays. Can play anywhere along the backline and will bring great leadership qualities to the team.
