Lehigh Set to Take on Lafayette Friday Night in Crucial Patriot League Showdown, Regular-Season Finale

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh will make the short trip to Easton, Pa., to face Lafayette on Friday in its regular-season finale. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m., and the game will stream live on ESPN+.
The Mountain Hawks will enter the contest at 3-4 in Patriot League play and 6-7 overall and are currently the No. 6 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. With a win Friday night at Lafayette, Lehigh would clinch a spot in the PL tournament.
Lafayette enters the contest 1-6 in Patriot League play, eliminated from Patriot League Tournament contention, and 5-8 overall. The Leopards' lone league win came against Army on March 6.
Lehigh leads the all-time series 75-22-1 against Lafayette. However, the Leopards earned a 12-7 win over the Mountain Hawks in Bethlehem last season.
Last Saturday, Lehigh defeated Navy 19-7, scoring the first six goals and controlling the game from start to finish. The Mountain Hawks' offense was balanced, with nine players scoring and 10 adding assists. Finn Morgan and Luke Winkler led the way with four goals each, while Morgan added three assists for a career high and his 10th hat trick of the season. Jack Archer and Chris Rathwell each added two goals, and Luke Breslin chipped in three.
On defense, senior Richard Checo tied a season high with five caused turnovers, while Noah Ramirez and Harrison Vassel each added two, with Vassel also collecting five ground balls.
Morgan earned Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season Monday afternoon, becoming just the third player in league history to be named Rookie of the Week at least five times in a single season.
Checo was named Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week Monday afternoon and ranks second nationally with 33 caused turnovers and third in caused turnovers per game (2.54), leading the Patriot League in both categories.
