Lehigh Announces 2025 Men's Wrestling Incoming Class

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh head coach Pat Santoro has announced the addition of seven wrestlers that will join the Mountain Hawks' men's program this summer. The seven members of the incoming class have combined to capture eight state or National Prep titles, while earning 16 state or National Prep podium finishes.
 
This incoming class focuses heavily on the middle and upper weights, with six wrestlers ranging from 149 to 174 in their projected weight classes, plus one heavyweight.
 
"We're excited to officially welcome this group of wrestlers to the Lehigh wrestling family," Santoro said. "They are a talented, driven, and high-character group who align with our values and vision. Each of them brings unique strengths that will not only elevate our program on the mat, but also contribute to the culture that makes Lehigh special. This class represents our continued commitment to building championship teams on and off the mat."
 
Recently, the class earned a No. 22 national ranking from MatScouts.
 
Information on the seven newcomers can be found below. The newcomers will join a returning core of Mountain Hawks that includes three All-Americans, five EIWA champions and eight wrestlers that have previously qualified for the NCAA Championships.
 
Duncan Christensen – 174 – Malvern, Pa./Malvern Prep – Arts and Sciences
The latest in a recent string of Malvern Prep wrestlers (Michael Beard, Caden Rogers, Owen Quinn) to come to Lehigh, Duncan Christensen won 39 bouts over three years of competition, highlighted by a 28-6 campaign in 2022-23. He is an Escape The Rock place winner.
 
Brady Collins – 174 – Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area – Arts and Sciences
A three-time PIAA place winner for Clearfield Area, Brady Collins amassed a 163-17 career record. A four-time district champion and three-time regional finalist, Collins finished fourth, third and third the last three years at the state tournament. Collins also earned all-state honors in football and track and field.
 
Anthony Evanitsky – 149 – Scranton, Pa./Wyoming Seminary – Arts and Sciences
Scranton native Anthony Evanitsky won a PIAA title at 138 for Wyoming Area in 2023. He spent the last two seasons at prep school power Wyoming Seminary, winning a National Prep title at 150 in 2024 and finishing sixth in 2025. Evanitsky is also a two-time NHSCA champion.
 
Rowan Holmes – 285 – Somerset, Pa./Somerset Area – Arts and Sciences
Heavyweight Rowan Holmes capped his prep career at Somerset Area with a AA state title, capping a 44-1 senior season. Holmes is a three-time state place winner, with fourth and third place finishes in addition to his title. He went 150-22 in his high school career with 102 falls.
 
Chase Quenault – 149 – Somerset, N.J./Delbarton – Arts and Sciences
Wrestling for New Jersey power Delbarton, Chase Quenault is a two-time state place winner with seventh and third place finishes to his credit. Quenault is a three-time regional champion and a four-time regional place winner who posted a trio of podium finishes at the prestigious Powerade Tournament.
 
Vaughn Spencer – 174 – Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland – Business
A 2024 Pennsylvania state champion at 172, Vaughn Spencer comes to Lehigh from Pine-Richland in western Pennsylvania. Spencer went 71-4 over the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, winning PIAA titles both years. He missed the 2024-25 high school season due to injury.
 
Chase Van Hoven – 157/165 – Stafford, Va./Brooke Point – Business
Four-time Virginia state champion and 2025 Virginia 5A/6A Student-Athlete of the Year Chase Van Hoven comes to Lehigh from Brooke Point High School in Stafford. Van Hoven won titles at the Beast of the East, Escape the Rock and NHSCA tournaments, earning Outstanding Wrestler honors at Escape the Rock. He has also placed at Super 32, Walsh Ironman and the U.S. Open.
