Micir Unveils Four-Player Women's Basketball Class of 2029

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball head coach Addie Micir has announced the addition of four new first-years that will be joining the Patriot League champion Mountain Hawks this summer.

The four first-years hail from four different countries, with Alana Reddy coming from Sydney, Australia, Leia Edwards from London, England, Ellie Mjaanes from Cary, Ill., and Myrto Lianoudi from Athens, Greece.

Alana Reddy - G - 5-9 - Sydney, Australia

Alana hails from Sydney, Australia. She attended Blair Academy .In 2025, she earned the Blair Girls Basketball Team Award for her leadership and dedication. 

Internationally, Alana competed at the Australian National Championships, winning silver in 2023 and bronze in 2024 while representing her state.

In 2022, she was named Rookie of the Year in the Waratah 1 Youth League Women by Basketball NSW, and also received Junior Female Player of the Year honors from the Manly Warringah Basketball Association.

Micir on Reddy:
"Alana is an elite shotmaker, a leader, and a winner. She has an innate ability to bring others long and get the best out of her teammates. She shares it and shoots it with the best!"

Ellie Mjaanes - F - 6-2 - Cary, Ill. 


Ellie is two-time All-State selection from Cary-Grove High School, where she also earned All-Conference and All-Area honors three times.


She's a three-time Team MVP, a two-time Team Captain, and a 1,000-point scorer, contributing to two Regional championships during her high school career.


Micir on Mjaanes:
"Ellie, our first signee of the class, brings a physicality to our post position that we've needed. She is the perfect combination of mobility and power that will help us elevate to the next level. An elite teammate, Ellie plays with joy and is one of those teammates you want to play with and for!"

Myrto Lianoudi - G/F - 5-10 - Athens, Greece

Myrto has experience with Greece's national teams from U15 onward. A two-time Women's Cup winner and MVP of the Women's Rising Stars Final Four, she recently led her team to the U18 National Championship and earned All Star 5 honors. Already contributing at the senior level, she helped her club finish 3rd in Division A last season and continues to stand out despite still being U18.

Micir on Lianoudi: "Myrto is an exciting wing who brings toughness and high level international experience to our team. She is gritty, can defend, and has an ability to score in a variety of ways. Willing to do the little things, Myrto fits our WE culture! "

Leia Edwards - G/F - 6-0 - London, England

A London, England native, Edwards prepped in Los Angeles at Sierra Canyon High School, where she won a state championship in 2022 at a program that annually ranks among the best in California. She was first-team all-league as a senior. 

Edwards has represented Great Britain internationally at the U18 level and was named MVP of the England U16 team in 2022 and 2023.

Micir on Edwards:
"Leia is, quite simply, a hooper. She can get downhill with strength, post up, shoot the 3, and, importantly, can defend any position. Throughout her career, she has done whatever it takes to impact winning. We are pumped she's in the Brown and White!"
