Lehigh Wins Two Of Three Races Against Saint Joseph's

PHILADELHPIA – Lehigh women's rowing competed in its final races prior to this month's Patriot League Championships on Saturday morning on the Schuylkill River against the Saint Joseph's Hawks. The Mountain Hawks went up against the Hawks in three races, winning both the first varsity four+ and second varsity eight+ races.
Lehigh's first varsity four+ was in a closely contested race with Saint Joseph's. The Mountain Hawks narrowly edged out the Hawks 8:35.4 to 8:36.5.
The Mountain Hawks were also victorious in the second varsity eight+, but this time by a wider margin. Lehigh clocked in at 7:49.1 while Saint Joseph's finished in 8:20.8.
The final race of the day was the first varsity eight+, which saw Saint Joseph's prevail 7:33.6 to 7:50.4.
The Mountain Hawks will be back on the water on May 16 for the Patriot League Championships on the Cooper River in New Jersey.
