Kochanowicz Collects Third Patriot League Rookie Of The Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First-year Cole Kochanowicz was named the Patriot League Baseball Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon. Kochanowicz has now won the award in consecutive weeks and three times overall on the season.
The Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania native posted a 0.00 ERA in 4.2 innings across two appearances with six strikeouts, a 1-0 record and a save. Against Navy on April 25, Kochanowicz struck out two in a scoreless top of the ninth to earn his second career save in Lehigh's 9-8 comeback victory. He then threw 3.2 scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts against Navy on April 27 to earn his team-leading sixth win of the season in a 4-3 victory for the Mountain Hawks.
Kochanowicz leads the Mountain Hawks with a 2.37 ERA across 30.1 innings with 31 strikeouts in 11 appearances. His 6-1 record and two saves are also both team-highs.
The Mountain Hawks will play their final home game of the season at J. David Walker Field on Tuesday, April 29 at 3 p.m. against Coppin State.
