Navy Overpowers Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh Mountain Hawks fell 21-5 to the 22nd-ranked Navy Midshipmen on Wednesday evening at the Ulrich Sports Complex.
Navy started on a 5-0 run before Angelina Pino put Lehigh on the board as it trailed 5-1 with 3:32 remaining in the first quarter.
The Midshipmen rounded out the half on a 8-1 run, with Grace Martel scoring Lehigh's second goal.
Navy opened the second half with three goals before Quinn Meyer scored a free position goal as the Mids led 16-3. Navy responded with a goal before Molly Snow answered back as the Mountain Hawks trailed 17-4 with 5:37 left in the third period. Snow continued momentum, notching back-to-back goals as Navy led 17-5 to close out the third.
The Midshipmen rounded out the game on a 4-0 run, ultimately earning the 21-5 victory.
Senior goalkeeper Julia DeLitta recorded five saves. Navy's Felicia Giglio recorded five saves before being relieved by Emma Richardell who made two.
Draws swung in favor of Navy, 24-5, with the Mids' Alyssa Daley recording 21.
Lehigh (5-8, 2-5 PL) returns home on Saturday to host Colgate at 1 p.m.
