DeLittla, Madonna Earn Patriot League Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore Camilla Madonna and senior Julia DeLitta picked up their first career Patriot League honors. Madonna was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week while Delittla received Goalkeeper of the Week nods, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
 
Madonna tallied four caused turnovers and two groundballs in Lehigh's 12-10 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. The defender was tasked with guarding the Crusaders' Sally Zinsner, limiting her to one goal off seven shots. Zinsner went into Saturday's game averaging three goals per game.
 
DeLitta was a force in net, making 13 saves on 30 shots. The Mamaroneck, N.Y. native also collected six ground balls and had one caused turnover. Across the Patriot League she ranks third in saves per game (9.83) and fifth in save percentage (0.442).
 
Gracie Shoup was named an honorable mention after posting six goals, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the Patriot League Victory.
 
Lehigh (5-7, 2-4 PL) returns home to the Ulrich Sports Complex to host Navy on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The game will be Lehigh's Pride Day presented by Lehigh's Pride Center and the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Belonging.
