BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Logan Rozynski has been named the EIWA Freshman of the Year, it was announced Tuesday. Rozynski won an EIWA title at 157 as a true first-year and qualified for the NCAA Championships in his debut campaign.

Rozynski went 19-7 in his first-year campaign, opening his career with a title at the Nov. 3 Princeton Open. He shared top honors at 157 at the Dec. 20 Sheridan Tournament and then went on to place fourth at the prestigious Midlands Championships in late December.

The Sparta, N.J. native went 4-1 in second semester dual action and then went 3-0 at the EIWA Championships at Stabler Arena, giving the Mountain Hawks a true first-year EIWA champion for the second consecutive season. Rozynski then went 1-2 in his first appearance at the NCAA Championships, with a 7-3 decision over Oregon State's Christopher Hamblin and two losses by a combined three points.

A Lehigh wrestler has now won the EIWA Freshman of the Year award in back-to-back seasons, with Ryan Crookham claiming the award in 2024. Eight Lehigh wrestlers have now been recognized as EIWA Freshman of the Year, dating back to the award's inception in 1994.

Rozynski was one of four individual EIWA champions for the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh wrestlers have now won 235 individual EIWA titles and have claimed 165 All-America medals.

The 2024-25 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
