Â
Seniors Julia Mrochko and Rory Dudley enjoyed big days at the plate. Mrochko went 3-for-3 with two runs scored in both games, adding up to a 6-for-6 day. Dudley went 5-for-8 and drove in six runs, including four in the nightcap.
Â
With the victories, Lehigh improves to 14-17 overall and 2-3 in the Patriot League. Lafayette, which entered Saturday's doubleheader on a five-game winning streak, falls to 5-20 overall and 3-2 in the league.
Â
Lehigh led 3-0 in the middle of the third inning of game one behind a pair of Dudley RBI singles in the first and third innings, and a double steal in the third in which Mrochko stole home.
Â
A six-run bottom of the third inning staked the Leopards to a 6-3 lead. Maggie Klug's two-run single was the big blow, which gave Lafayette a 4-3 lead before the Leopards tacked on two more. Another RBI single from Klug in the fourth put the Leopards up 7-3 after four innings of play.
Â
The Mountain Hawks took the lead for good behind a five-run fifth inning, helped out by a pair of Lafayette miscues. Lehigh put up three runs on an RBI fielder's choice by first-year Wrigley Fanter, a run that scored on a throwing error after a fielder's choice and then a wild pitch. A sacrifice fly by Mrochko brought first-year Lizzie Kern home with the tying run. First-year Kelly Fricker followed with a single to left, and an error by the Lafayette left fielder allowed sophomore Peyton Sward to score the go-ahead run.
Â
Senior Maria Urban kept the Leopards off the scoreboard over the final three innings to secure the victory. Urban was helped by Sward throwing out the tying run at home to end the fifth inning and then a 4-6-3 double play started by Mrochko to end the sixth. She earned her third victory of the season with 3.1 innings of scoreless relief, allowing six hits and walking one.

Junior Chloe Hess started in the circle for Lehigh and allowed five runs on four hits over 2.1 innings, while sophomore Maddy Clark allowed two runs on four hits over 1.1 innings of work.
Â
Lafayette's Regan Dillon went 4-for-4 as the Leopards out-hit Lehigh 14-12 in game one.
Â
Dudley helped Lehigh to a strong start in game two with a two-run double in the first inning and then an RBI single in the third. Sophomore Holly Lovett singled home Sward to put the Mountain Hawks up 4-0 after two-and-a-half innings.

The bottom of the third once again proved troublesome for Lehigh with Lafayette capitalizing on two Mountain Hawk errors to tie the game at 4-4. Dillon capped the rally for Lafayette with a game-tying sacrifice fly.
Â
First-year Madison Finnerty relieved Urban in the third and got Lehigh out of the inning tied before setting the Leopards down in order in both the fourth and fifth frames.
Â
Senior Lindsey Martin led off the sixth inning with a double, and after a sacrifice bunt, junior Sydney Parlett doubled to deep left field to score Martin with the go-ahead run. An RBI double by Mrochko and a single by Dudley brought home two more runs to put Lehigh up 7-4.

An RBI single by Lafayette's Jocelyn O'Keeffe brought the Leopards within 7-5 in the sixth, and with the tying runs in scoring position, Finnerty recorded a pair of fly outs to the outfield to keep Lehigh in front by two.
Â
Klug singled for Lafayette with two outs in the seventh, but Finnerty got Dillon to fly out to Fricker in right to end the game.
Â
Finnerty improved to 6-6 on the season, allowing a run on three hits over 4.2 innings with three walks and four strikeouts. Urban was charged with four unearned runs on four hits over 2.1 innings in game two.
Â
Lehigh finished with 14 hits in game two. In addition to three-hit games for Mrochko and Dudley, Fricker and classmate Helen Woloshyn both had two hits in Saturday's second game.
Â
The Mountain Hawks and Leopards will wrap-up their series with a single game Sunday at noon. Sunday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
