BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's basketball returns to Stabler Arena on Saturday to host Holy Cross on Senior Day, presented by Rich Mar Florist. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
Keith Higgins Jr., Ben Knostman and Tyler Whitney-Sidney will all be recognized pregame as part of Lehigh's graduating 2025 class.
Holy Cross (12-14, 4-9 PL) leads the all-time series against Lehigh (9-15, 4-9 PL) 45-32, but the Mountain Hawks have enjoyed success over the Crusaders in recent years. Lehigh has won eight of its last ten against Holy Cross, including a 69-67 win in Worcester on February 1.
If Lehigh wins, they would earn their tenth win of the season and sweep the season series against Holy Cross. Head coach Dr. Brett Reed's all-time record against the Crusaders would improve to 23-15.
Following a two-game homestand, Lehigh men's basketball returned to the road on Wednesday evening to take on the Navy Midshipmen for the second time this season. Three Mountain Hawks reached double-figures in a narrow 63-60 loss to the Mids. Lehigh posted percentages of 37.1% (23-62) from the field and 38.9% (7-18) from three while Navy shot 38.2% (21-55) from the floor and 35.0% (7-20) from three. Navy found a slim 41-38 advantage on the glass while the game's biggest difference came at the free throw line. Lehigh shot 50.0% (7-14) from the charity stripe while Navy shot 70.0% (14-20). The Mountain Hawks came out of the gates sluggish offensively, shooting only 21.7% from the field in the first half. Whitney-Sidney led the way offensively for Lehigh with 17 points.
The Crusaders enter Saturday's contest tied with Lehigh at 4-9 in Patriot League play, but the Mountain Hawks' victory over the Crusaders earlier this season gives them the tiebreaker. Holy Cross has lost four of its last five contests, with the win coming by way of a 72-52 victory over Boston U. on February 8. Freshman Max Green leads the Crusaders offensively at 14.4 points and 3.6 assists per game. Sophomore Joe Nugent (12.0 ppg) and senior Caleb Kenney (11.4 ppg) also average double-figures.
Following Saturday's game, the Mountain Hawks will have a quick turnaround, as the team heads to Bucknell on Monday, February 17. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network.
Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and can be listened to on Fox Sports 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
