BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh heads to the Golden State for the first time since December 2016, with the Mountain Hawks kicking off a two-game northern California swing against Stanford Sunday at Maples Pavilion.
Game time is set for 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT with broadcast coverage on ACC Network Extra.
The two games in the San Francisco Bay Area mark a homecoming opportunity for junior Gracyn Lovette and sophomores Belle Bramer and Keshia Vitalicio.
Lehigh is coming off an impressive 71-57 home win over previously unbeaten Drexel Wednesday night. First-year Leia Edwards led four players in double figures with 22 points as Lehigh shot 52 percent from the field, while limiting Drexel to just 35 percent shooting.
Four Mountain Hawks are averaging double figure points for the season, led by junior guard Jessie Ozzauto, who averages 15.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Edwards and junior Whitney Lind are averaging 13.5 points per game, while Bramer is averaging 10.8 points, and leads the Patriot League averaging 2.8 steals per contest.
Lehigh prides itself on recruiting nationally and internationally with the program regularly scheduling non-league games close to players' hometowns. Lehigh's two games in the San Francisco Bay Area (Nov. 23 at Stanford and Nov. 25 at San Francisco) will serve as homecoming games for northern California natives Gracyn Lovette (San Rafael), Keshia Vitalicio (Concord) and Belle Bramer (Los Gatos). Lovette was a two-time county Player of the Year at Marin Catholic; Vitalicio was the 2024 EBAL Player of the Year at Carondelet; and Bramer enjoyed a decorated career with numerous first-team honors at Archbishop Mitty.
Stanford moved to 6-0 with a 70-45 win over UC Davis Thursday night at home. One of the most successful programs in Division I women's college basketball history, the Cardinal were just 16-15 a season ago, but have won six straight to open this season.
Three Cardinal average in double figure scoring, led by Nunu Agara, who averaged 13.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Chloe Clardy averages 12.8 points per game, while Lara Somfai contributes 11.2 points and 8.3 boards.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Stanford in women's basketball.
Lehigh is 1-11 all-time against current ACC members, with the win coming against Syracuse at Stabler Arena 55-48 on Nov. 19, 2006. Lehigh will be facing an ACC opponent for the third straight season. The Mountain Hawks played at Duke in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament and nearly upset Pitt on Dec. 10, 2023.
Lehigh will conclude its northern California trip with game at San Francisco, Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT.
