Lehigh Concludes Homestand Wednesday Night Against Drexel

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh looks to get back on track Wednesday night as the Mountain Hawks welcome the Drexel Dragons to Stabler Arena in the final game of a three-game homestand. Each of Lehigh's first two home games saw the Mountain Hawks hold a one-point halftime lead, only to be done in by third quarter struggles.
The first 350 fans in attendance Wednesday night will receive a free Lehigh basketball schedule magnet.
On Saturday, Lehigh led Vermont 28-27 at the break before the Catamounts shot nearly 54 percent from the field in the third quarter to build and maintain a lead.
Lehigh was led by sophomore Belle Bramer, who scored 12 points and added three steals. First-year Leia Edwards made her first career start, chipping in 10 points and six boards. Edwards earned honorable mention recognition from the Patriot League on Monday.
The Mountain Hawks shot just 2-of-16 from beyond the 3-point line, with first-year Alana Reddy contributing both made triples.
Junior Jessie Ozzauto leads the Mountain Hawks in scoring (15.5 ppg.) and rebounding (5.5 rpg.) through four games.
Drexel is off to a 4-0 start with wins over Pitt, Marist, Penn and Loyola. On Sunday, the Dragons got a 20-point performance from Amaris Baker to secure Drexel's best start in 15 years. Laine McGurk added 18 points Sunday and leads Drexel with 19.5 this season. The Dragons were 17-13 last season.
This is the 29th meeting between the former East Coast Conference rivals, with Drexel leading the series 18-10. These programs are meeting for the fourth consecutive season, with the home team winning all three games. Drexel won last year's meeting 53-44.
