No. 2 Lehigh Welcomes No. 6 Lafayette For Patriot League Championship Game

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The road to the Patriot League Championship ends on Saturday evening from the Ulrich Sports Complex as No. 2 Lehigh men's soccer hosts rival No. 6 Lafayette in the Patriot League Championship game. Tickets to the game can be purchased HERE.
Admission for all Lehigh students is free. The first 100 students in attendance will receive a free throwback Rivalry shirt while the first 50 students will get a $5 concessions voucher. All students can enter to win $100 at halftime.
Lehigh (9-5-5) and Lafayette (8-6-6) have met four times in the Patriot League Championship game, with the Mountain Hawks winning twice (2000, 2019). The Mountain Hawks and the Leopards met in the regular season finale on November 4, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
The Mountain Hawks are seeking their fourth Patriot League championship and first since 2019. Lehigh punched their ticket to the championship game after defeating No. 4 Boston University 1-0 on Saturday off the heels of a Giacomo Zizza goal that made SportsCenter's Top 10. Zizza leads the Patriot League in assists (9) while earning first team All-Patriot League honors. Junior Thomas Robertson joined Zizza on the first team after leading Lehigh with six goals. Lehigh's other all-league recipients include senior Noah Levy (second team), senior Yusef Gueye (third team), junior Trey Sheeler (third team), and senior Sam Davis (third team).
Lafayette is seeking its seventh Patriot League title and first since 2012. The Leopards entered the tournament as the sixth and final team in the field, besting No. 3 Army 1-0 in the first round before shocking No. 1 American 3-2 in overtime in the semifinals. Samir Dishnica leads the Leopards in goals (6), assists (3) and points (15), earning second team All-Patriot League honors. Goalkeeper Eric Axtman was also named to the second team All-Patriot League while defender Nick Liebich earned a spot on the third team.
Saturday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
