No. 2 Lehigh Hosts No. 4 Boston U. In Patriot League Semifinal

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The road to the Patriot League Championship begins on Tuesday for No. 2 Lehigh men's soccer in the semifinal round against No. 4 Boston University. Tickets to the game can be purchased HERE.
Lehigh (8-5-5, 5-1-3 PL) played at Boston U. (10-7-0, 5-4-0 PL) on October 25, resulting in a 2-0 win for the Mountain Hawks. Juniors Trey Sheeler and Thomas Robertson both scored in under a minute while the Lehigh defense and sophomore goalkeeper Anton Kinnunen held strong to keep the Terriers out of the net.
The Mountain Hawks secured a first-round bye on October 31 in a draw against Colgate on the road. Lehigh clinched a top two seed in the Patriot League for the first time since 2019, the same year as the team's most recent Patriot League championship. The Mountain Hawks also landed six on All-Patriot League teams for only the fourth time in program history and first time since 2019. Roberston leads Lehigh and ranks second in the league with six goals while sophomore Giacomo Zizza's nine assists lead both his team and the league.
Boston U. advanced to the semifinal with a 3-1 win over Bucknell in the first round. The Terriers enter Tuesday's matchup boasting the top-ranked offense in the league at 1.765 goals per game and 1.941 assists per game. Ethan Gill leads both the Terriers and the Patriot League with seven goals while Pharis Petrica's seven assists lead the team.
The winner of Tuesday's match will move on to face the winner of No. 1 American and No. 6 Lafayette in the Patriot League Championship Game on Saturday, November 15.
