BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After breaking one of her own school records for the second time in as many weeks, Lehigh junior Abby Klebe was named the Patriot League Women's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Klebe posted a time of 2:06.37 in the 800-meter invitational Friday at Columbia's Dr. Sander Scorcher at the Armory in New York, knocking more than two second off the mark she set last year. The time is currently tops in the Patriot League for the indoor season and ranks 16th among Division I runners during the indoor campaign. Klebe finished fifth in the 800m Friday, finishing behind two non-college athletes and runners from Columbia and Princeton.

January 18 at the Quaker Invitational, Klebe broke her own school record in the 1000 meters, turning in a time of 2:49.22.

This marks the second straight week the Lehigh women's team picked up a Patriot League weekly award. Sophomore Gaea DePass was recognized as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 20 after winning the high jump at the Moravian Indoor Meet.

The Mountain Hawks will host Lafayette Saturday in the annual indoor track and field dual meet in the Rivalry, presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute. Field events will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday from Rauch Fieldhouse, with track events beginning at 3:30 p.m.
