
Mountain Hawks Fall to Bucknell in Dual Meet Finale

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Lehigh men's and women's swimming and diving closed up the dual slate at Bucknell Saturday afternoon at Kinney Natatairum, where the men fell 227-70 to the Bison and the women fell 218-82.
With the loss, the men fell to 5-5 and the women dropped to 6-4 on the season. Next up, the Mountain Hawks travel back to Lewisburg where they will compete in the Bucknell Invitational on Feb. 1 at 12 p.m.
Women's Recap
The Mountain Hawks took second in both the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. In the 200-yard medley relay, Willa Werwaiss, Zoe Davies, Clara Moschella and Caitlin Deitch swam to a second-place finish with a time of 1:46.92.
Werwaiss was also on the 400-yard medley relay team that came in second (3:36.67) alongside Maggie Mikalic, Juliana Guida and Mairin Ludwig.
Werwaiss tallied an individual win against the Bison on Saturday, coming in first in the 200-yard backstroke (2:03.89). Werwaiss also had a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.73).
Moschella was a second away from pulling out a win, tallying a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 56.88.
Ludwig had a pair of second-place finishes, coming second in the 200-yard IM (2:07.55) and the 200-yard freestyle 1:53.81.
The Mountain Hawks scored five points in the 1000-yard freestyle with Maggie Mikalic rolling to a third-place finish (10:40.14) and Natalie Martin coming in fourth (10:54.78).
Deitch finished with a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (24.95) with teammate Annie Gao coming in fourth (25.29).
Sophomore diver Kate Whitaker won the three-meter dive with 250.35 points. Senior diver Sarah Gill finished right behind Whitaker, taking home second with 239.78 points. Gill also finished second in the three-meter dive with 241.28 points.

Junior Ben Kisker had the lone individual win for the Mountain Hawks, taking home a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.46. First-year Tristan Ronayne pulled out a third-place mark in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.52.
Will Pestrichelli recorded a second-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 9:47.72.
Senior Connor Goodyear picked up three points for Lehigh with a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle 1:43.09.
In the relays, the Mountain Hawks took home two second-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Bem Kisker, Jack DeVilbiss, Aaron Williams and Timmy Norris finished with a time of 1:32.04.
Williams and Norris were also on the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished with a time of 3:08.02 alongside Chase Bearley and Frankie Prekop.
In the dives, Jack Grotke picked up four points for Lehigh with a pair of fourth-place finishes in the one and three-meter dive. In the one-meter dive, Grotke finished with 179.55 points while scoring 159.90 points in the three-meter dive.
