DePass Tabbed As PL Women's Field Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore Gaea DePass has been named the Patriot League Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. DePass won the high jump Saturday at the Moravian Indoor Meet, held at Lehigh's Rauch Fieldhouse.
DePass cleared 1.70m to match her personal record, while establishing the top mark in the Patriot League so far this season. The Hasbrouck Heights, N.J., native moved into third place all time at Lehigh. DePass' victory in the high jump was her second in three meets this indoor season. She also won at the season-opening Fast Times Before Finals meet, clearing 1.66m.
Also on Tuesday, junior Abby Klebe received honorable mention recognition as Track Athlete of the Week after breaking her own school record in the 1000 meters Saturday at Penn's Quaker Invitational. Her time of 2:49.22 took more than a second off her previous mark (2:51.00) and is the fastest in the Patriot League this season.
The Mountain Hawks are back in action Saturday at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, hosted by Columbia, in New York City.
