Lehigh Hosts Boston University in Wednesday Night Showdown

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's basketball welcomes Boston University on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Mountain Hawks are 12-4 (3-1 PL) and the Terriers are 7-8 (1-3 PL). Wednesday's game will be aired on ESPN+. 

Lehigh is coming off of a dominating 90-51 win over Army on Jan. 12. The Mountain Hawks had their best shooting performance of the season, going 33-of-57 (57.9%) from the field. They also shot the lights out from deep, going 10-of-18 (55.6%). 

Fifth-year wing Maddie Albrecht recorded a season-high 24 points to lead the way in the win. Albrecht received a Patriot League Honorable Mention on Monday after averaging 22.5 points, four rebounds and two steals while shooting 64% from the field. Albrecht has two straight 20-point games after also tallying 21 points against Colgate on Jan. 8. 

The Billings, Mont., native ranks fourth in the league in points per game (15.4) and first in field goal percentage (53%). 

First-year forward Belle Bramer and sophomore forward Whitney Lind both had career-high performances against the Black Knights. Bramer finished with 15 points on 6-of-7 shooting and Whitney Lind recorded 13 points after going 5-of-5 from the field. Lehigh also finished with 21 assists on 33 made field goals. 

Senior guard Colleen McQuillen dished out a game-high of five assists and sophomore guard Jessie Ozzauto recorded a career-high of four assists. McQuillen ranks fifth in the league in assists per game (3.4). 

The Terriers are coming off of a 61-49 loss to Colgate on Jan. 11. Bella McLaughlin recorded a team-high 12 points to lead the way for Boston University. 

Alex Giannaros is the lone Terrier averaging double figures. She is putting up 15 points per game. Boston University is averaging 55.9 points per game and giving up 65.0 points per game. 

Lehigh is 12-12 all-time against Boston University. The Mountain Hawks suffered a 89-78 loss to the Terriers in the most recent meeting on Feb. 28. Lehigh picked up a 64-62 win over Boston University last time the Terriers came to Lehigh on Feb. 3. Giannaros missed a game-tying layup as time was expiring and Lehigh held on for the win. 

Next up, Lehigh will hit the road and travel to Baltimore to take on Loyola on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Reitz Arena. Saturday's game will be aired on ESPN+.
