Lehigh Welcomes Army West Point For Three-Game Series

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Patriot League baseball continues this weekend from J. David Walker Field, as Lehigh plays host to Army West Point for a three-game series. The Black Knights will be the second Patriot League opponent that the Mountain Hawks have faced this season.
Lehigh (15-8-1) kicked off its Patriot League schedule against rival Lafayette last weekend, traveling to Easton for two doubleheaders. The Mountain Hawks and Leopards split doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday to split the series 2-2. Lehigh then welcomed Delaware State to Bethlehem on Tuesday for round one of the Liberty Bell Classic, which the Mountain Hawks won 14-3 in only seven innings. Cole Leaman is expected to start on the mound in game one against the Black Knights while Najir Glenn and Teddy Tolliver will start games two and three.
Army (12-12) opened their Patriot League season against Navy and Bucknell this past Sunday and Monday, playing a doubleheader against each opponent. The Black Knights split against the Midshipmen on Sunday while Army West Point picked up two seven-inning victories over the Bison on Monday. Justin Lehman is expected to start game one while Mike Ruggieri will get the start in game three. Game two's starter for Army West Point is still TBD.
All games in this weekend's series will be broadcast on ESPN+. Game one is slated to begin at 12 p.m. followed by game two for Saturday's doubleheader.
