Mountain Hawks Continue Road Swing at Fairfield

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh men's lacrosse is back on the road on Saturday as the Mountain Hawks head to Faifield, Conn., to take on Fairfield at 12 p.m at Rafferty Stadium.
The Mountain Hawks opened up the 2024 season with a 14-12 loss at No.14/15 Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights outscored Lehigh 7-5 in the second half to secure the win.
Sophomore attackman Andrew Kelly had a career-best performance, scoring four goals on four shots. Kelly's previous career-high was one goal.
Dakota Eierman (1 G, 2 A), Quinn Armstrong and Scott Cole (2G) were the other three Mountain Hawks to record multiple points.
Lehigh forced 14 turnovers from Rutgers, and Raul Ochotorena finished with a career-high of two caused turnovers.
Senior goalie Nick Pecora needs only seven more saves to notch 200 for his career. Pecora finished with 10 saves and totalled a 41.7% save percentage in the season-opening loss to the Scarlet Knights. Pecora owns a 50.4% save percentage in net.
Saturday's game will be the season opener for the Stags. Fairfield was 5-9 last season and 3-4 in CAA play. The Stags are led by graduate student Bryce Ford, who notched a team-high of 51 points last season (31 G, 20A).
Lehigh is 2-0 all-time against Fairfield. The first meeting was in 1997 and the last was in 2023.
