BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Winners of three straight, Lehigh men's basketball looks to keep their momentum going as they travel to Army West Point on Wednesday evening. The Mountain Hawks and Black Knights will square off in what will be a matchup of two of the Patriot League's hottest teams.
Lehigh (10-15, 7-7 PL) trails Army West Point (10-17, 6-8 PL) in the all-time series 70-48 and have lost each of the previous three meetings against the Black Knights. The Mountain Hawks fell in their last game against the Black Knights by a score of 68-57 inside Stabler Arena. TJ Small led the way with 15 points in the win for the Black Knights.
If Lehigh wins, they will win their fourth consecutive game and would snap a three-game skid against Army West Point. A win would also even the season series 1-1 against the Black Knights.
Lehigh picked up their third consecutive win on Saturday evening by way of a 75-70 victory over Loyola Maryland. The Mountain Hawks swept the season series with the Greyhounds thanks to the win. Tyler Whitney-Sidney led the team in scoring with 16 points off the bench while Dominic Parolin (15p), Burke Chebuhar (14p) and Joshua Ingram (10p) joined Whitney-Sidney in double figures. Ingram was awarded Patriot League Rookie of the Week for his efforts after averaging 17.0 points on 45.5% from three and 100% from the free throw line for the week.
Army West Point enters Wednesday's contest having won each of their past four games, which began with their road win against the Mountain Hawks on February 7. Their win streak has placed the Black Knights in sixth place in the Patriot League and in firm position to make a run at one of the league's top seeds. The team is led in scoring by freshman Josh Scovens, who is averaging 12.6 points per game. Freshman guard Ryan Curry joins his rookie teammate as one of Army West Point's top contributors, posting 9.7 points per game. The pair have combined for seven Patriot League Rookie of the Week awards this season.
Wednesday's game will be aired on ESPN+ and can be listened to on Fox Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
