Mountain Hawks Welcome FDU And Hofstra For Home Meets

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following their massive win over Drexel, Lehigh men's tennis returns to their home court at the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center this week for two home dual meets. The Mountain Hawks will welcome the FDU Knights on Wednesday night and the Hofstra Pride on Saturday morning.
Lehigh (2-2) went 1-1 across its two dual meets last week, dropping a 5-2 decision to Monmouth at home on Wednesday while picking up a 4-3 road win over Drexel on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks earned two points against the Hawks courtesy of singles wins by Aristotelis Bezianis and Sean Jaeger. Against Drexel, it was Jaeger who played the role of hero for Lehigh, winning a dramatic three-set match to clinch his team's first win over the Dragons since 2016.
FDU (1-2) opened their season on February 3 and have competed in three contests thus far in the spring season. The Knights picked up a 4-3 win over St. Thomas Aquinas in their first meet of the season before taking consecutive losses to Le Moyne (4-3) and NJIT (7-0).
Hofstra (1-4) began their season a bit earlier than others on January 27, dropping a 4-3 decision to Quinnipiac. The Pride's lone win on the season came against Marist, where they won 4-3. Hofstra has also faced Drexel this season, however the Pride fell 5-2 to the Dragons.
Wednesday's match against FDU is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. while the Mountain Hawks host Hofstra at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
