BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the first semester at its end, baseball season is right around the corner. Peter E. Bennett '63 head coach Sean Leary, now entering his 30th season at the helm of the Lehigh baseball program, announced the team's 2025 schedule Friday afternoon.

The Mountain Hawks will play 24 games at J. David Walker Field at Legacy Park while the team will be the visiting team in 21 contests this season. In addition, Lehigh will play in four total neutral site games.

The 2025 campaign kicks off on February 14-16 in Norman, Oklahoma for a three-game series against the Oklahoma Sooners. The Sooners are coming off of a 2024 season that saw them host a regional and finish in first place in the Big 12 regular season.

"The 2025 schedule features some very strong competition," said Leary. "Oklahoma's pitching staff is as talented as any in the country and the Sooners are poised for a deep run in the NCAA tournament next June."

The Mountain Hawks will next head to Virginia for a two-game series with the Richmond Spiders on February 21-22. Lehigh will also face Fairfield in a neutral site game on the 22nd to conclude the weekend.

Lehigh will then play LIU for a three-game series at a neutral site in Virginia on March 1-2 followed by another three-game series on the road at UMBC on March 7-9. The Mountain Hawks will play their first home games at J. David Walker Field the next week, hosting non-league opponents Saint Joseph's and Coppin State on March 11 and 12 respectively.

The team's home-opening weekend begins a lengthy home stand for the Mountain Hawks throughout the month of March. Albany will travel to Bethlehem on March 14-16 for a three-game series followed by a midweek clash with in-state foe Penn on March 18.

"Several other weekends feature mid-majors that will be projected at the top of their respective conferences," said Leary. "I'm confident the first five weekends will prepare us for the Patriot League portion of the schedule."

Patriot League play then begins the following weekend, with Holy Cross and Army slated to play doubleheaders in Bethlehem on March 22 and March 23. Lehigh then heads east to Rider University for the first round of the annual Liberty Bell Classic on March 25.

The first installment of The Rivalry presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute against Lafayette College takes place on the weekend of March 28 in Bethlehem. The Mountain Hawks will play the Leopards once on Friday, twice on Saturday and once again on Sunday.

The Mountain Hawks continue the Patriot League season on the road the next weekend, heading to Bucknell for a doubleheader on April 5 and Navy for another doubleheader on April 6. Lehigh returns home for a special midweek contest against Muhlenberg on April 9 that will take place at the historic Limeport Stadium.

The Mountain Hawks will conclude their season series on the road in a three-game series against Army on April 12-13. The season series against Lafayette concludes in a midweek clash on April 18 in Easton.

On April 19-20, Lehigh welcomes Bucknell to J. David Walker Field for three games to finish out the season series against the Bison. The Mountain Hawks then host Saint Peter's on April 23 followed by a three-game weekend series at home against Navy on April 26-27.

Lehigh's final non-league opponents of the regular season will be against Coppin State at home on April 29 and at Saint Peter's on April 30. The regular season concludes for the Mountain Hawks on the road for a three-game series against Holy Cross on May 3-4.

The Patriot League Championship semifinals are scheduled to begin on May 10 featuring two three-game series between the top four teams in the league. The championship series will be played the following weekend.

"The Patriot League will be tight as any time that I can remember, so we're excited to improve every day and we prepare for a run this spring," said Leary.
