Mountain Hawks Return to Action Against Wofford on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After a 13-day break from action, Lehigh women's basketball returns to the hardwood on Saturday against Wofford at Stabler Arena at 12 p.m. Saturday's game will air on ESPN+. Lehigh comes into Saturday's game with a 7-3 record and the Terriers are 6-4. 

Saturday's game will also be Lehigh's camper reunion game and holiday sweater game. All campers in attendance can participate in poster making, a high-five tunnel, autographs and much more. Get in the holiday spirit and wear your best (or worst) holiday sweater to the game for your chance to win a prize!

The Mountain Hawks last took the court on Dec. 8, defeating Cornell 73-51. Lehigh shot the lights out from deep, going 14-of-31 (45.2%) from long range. 

Senior guard Ella Stemmer led the way with a season-tying 21 points. Stemmer knocked down five three-pointers for the third time this season against Cornell. She averages 12.9 points per game and leads the Patriot League with 2.8 three-pointers per game. Stemmer is shooting it at a blistering clip of 41.2%.

Fifth-year guard Maddie Albrecht continues to lead the way for the Mountain Hawks with 14.1 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. Albrecht has finished in double figures in nine of Lehigh's 10 games. The Billings, Mont., native is leading the league in field goal percentage (51.5%).

Sophomore guard Gracyn Lovette had a career-high performance against the Big Red, scoring a career-high 14 points. Lovette also dished out five assists and knocked down a career-high five three-pointers. Senior guard Colleen McQuillen dished out a game-high of six assists. Lehigh finished with 21 assists on 28 made field goals.

Saturday's game will mark the first-ever meeting between Lehigh and Wofford. 

The Terriers suffered a 93-58 loss to No. 9 Duke in their most recent game on Dec. 18. Rachael Rose led the way with a team-high 23 points. Rose averages a team-high 13.2 points per game. Maddie Heiss (12.1 points per game) and Evangelia Paulk (10.2 points per game) also average double figures. 

Lehigh is averaging 67.7 points per game and Wofford is averaging 69.6 points per game. The Mountain Hawks are also averaging 8.2 three-pointers per game and the Terriers are averaging 6.4 points per game. 

Following Saturday's game, Lehigh will take on Misericordia on Dec. 29 at 1 p.m.
