BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh first-year Jaden Green has been named to the Stats Perform FCS Freshman All-America Team, it was announced Wednesday. Green was one of two Patriot League student-athletes named to the team. He was selected as the All-Purpose performer on special teams.
The Mountain Hawks' primary kickoff returner in 2024, Green averaged 25.1 yards on 22 returns with a long of 49 yards in Lehigh's home-opening win over Wagner. Green ranks 20th nationally in kickoff return average and 39th in the FCS in all-purpose yards per game (107.1).
In addition to his 49-yard return against Wagner, Green's kickoff return highlights included five returns for 136 yards with a long of 43 yards at Yale, a 34-yard return at LIU and a 36-yard kickoff return against Colgate.
Green was also a second team All-Patriot League honoree as a running back, rushing for 777 yards and 10 touchdowns, while averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
A two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week, Green also had a 65-yard touchdown rush that helped spark Lehigh's comeback in its 20-16 first-round playoff win at Richmond.
Green was also a finalist for the Jerry Rice Award, given to the top first-year player in the FCS.
This honor from Stats Perform comes one week after Green was recognized in the same capacity on the FCS Football Central Freshman All-American Team.
The Mountain Hawks won their 13th Patriot League championship in 2024, going 9-4 overall with the program's first postseason win since 2011.
