
Whitaker Named Diver of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh women's swimming and diving's sophomore Kate Whitaker was named the Patriot League Diver of the Week, as announced by the league Tuesday afternoon.
This is the first Patriot League award for the Westport, Conn., native. Whitaker won the three-meter dive in the tri-meet split against Colgate and Loyola after scoring 243.45 points. She also had a fourth-place finish in the one-meter dive (222.35), which senior Sarah Gill won with 252.35 points.
Junior Mairin Ludwig received an honorable mention from the league after she won all three individual events she competed in, tallying wins in the 1000-yard freestyle (10:32.56), the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.61) and the 200-yard IM (2:09.09).

Ludwig is currently competing in the 2024 FISU America games, held in Cali, Colombia. Ludwig is one of 26 Patriot League student-athletes that were selected by Loyola head coach Brian Loeffler, who is leading the charge for the United States at the FISU games. The Mountain Hawks return to action on Friday against Seton Hall in the home opener at 5 p.m. |
