
Lehigh Downs Lafayette For 33rd Straight Win over Leopards

EASTON, Pa. - Lehigh men's swimming and diving took care of business Friday night at Weinstein Natatorium, defeating Lafayette 178-120 to pick up its 33rd straight victory over the Leopards. The Mountain Hawks improved to 4-3 with the win.Â
Lehigh recorded nine wins on Friday. Jack DeVilbiss had an incredible night, setting the school record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.34. DeVilbiss was also on the 200-yard medley relay team alongside Ben Kisker, Aaron Williams and Tim Norris that rolled to a first-place finish, while setting a pool record with a time of 1:29.76.Â
Kisker, Williams and Norris all had individual wins on Friday. Kisker won the 100-yard backstroke (49.38) and first-year Tristan Ronayne (50.62), first-year Davis Woerner (51.18) and sophomore Matt McLellan finished in second, third and fourth, respectively.Â
Norris swept both the 50-yard freestyle (20.75) and the 100-yard freestyle (45.28). Williams took home a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a pool record time of (49.16).
First-years Frankie Prekop, Tristan Ronayne and Jack Deppe picked up their first collegiate wins in The Rivalry. Prekop came in first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:39.34). Ronayne came in first in the 200-yard backstroke with a pool record time of 1:47.21.Deppe won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:04.37) and the 200-yard IM (1:50.27) .Deppe's time in the 200-yard IM was a pool record.
Lehigh finished the night with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Prekop, Williams, Norris and Chase Bearley swam to a first-place finish with a time of 3:02.19.
Next up, Lehigh will take on Drexel on Dec. 7 at 10 a.m.
